Peacehaven Town Council Accredited with the Bronze Award for Wellbeing at Work

As part of the town council's on going commitment to creating a heathy and happy working environment, Peacehaven Town Council has received its first certificate in its Wellbeing at Work accreditation journey.

George Dyson, Town Clerk said "The Wellbeing at Work Bronze Award has provided a framework looking holistically at the wellbeing measures Peacehaven Town Council has in place, achieving this award has recognised and reinforced our commitment to promoting wellbeing throughout the Council, we are delighted to be able to count ourselves as one of the East Sussex organisations that has been accredited with this".

About the Wellbeing at Work Awards

The Wellbeing at Work Award recognises employers’ commitment to supporting employee wellbeing through an accreditation programme. The programme is operated by Public Health at East Sussex County Council and provides a framework for improving health and wellbeing in the workplace. Once you have received an award, you will be able to say your wellbeing initiatives meet the county standard in workplace health practice, and you will be able to show this to your employees and clients/customers with our marketing materials pack.

East Sussex Wellbeing at Work is the county standard of good practice in health and wellbeing in the workplace. The programme takes a holistic approach to a structured framework, covering the following topics:

  • Physical Activity and Active Travel
  • Healthy Eating
  • Musculoskeletal Health and Health & Safety
  • Mental Health
  • Sickness Absence, Return to Work and Prevention
  • Alcohol, Substance Misuse, and Stop Smoking
  • Leadership, Management and Workplace Culture
