NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

Pursuant to section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972, that due to the
resignation of David Seabrook, a vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the West Ward, Peacehaven Town Council.
If by 31st October 2024 (14* days after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer, Ian Fitzpatrick, Lewes District Council, Eastbourne Town Hall, Grove Road, Eastbourne, BN21 4UG, by TEN electors for the said West ward, Peacehaven Town Council, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

If an election is called, it will take place no later than 3rd January 2025
