In the summer of 2014, a World War II veteran sneaks out of his care home to attend the 70th anniversary commemoration of the D-Day landings in Normandy.
Peacehaven’s Cinema is provided by the mobile Cinema company – Cinemobile. Our cinema is situated in the Main Hall, at the Town Council Offices.
The majority of films are watched by a large audience and there are occasions when 2 showings have been required in order to keep up with demand. Since the start of the Cinema, the need to improve the facilities has been a concern, so the Council, having failed to gain a Lottery grant, fitted racked seating to provide a better view of the film and to provide more comfort for the customer.
The improvements have not stopped there, the public were surveyed and their comments have been listened to and now there will be further improvements to the theatre facilities in the Town with a sound/projection room built to house the projector, lighting and sound equipment.
The excellent air conditioning ensures that the audience watch in comfort.
