Wrestling Rumble

22nd August 2017

< Back to news

AMERICAN Rumble Wrestling is returning to the Meridian Centre on October 7.

And the big Saturday night grappling spectacular will also feature the first Peacehaven appearance of one of the ring’s most controversial characters in the shape of Dean Ayass, plus top international ladies wrestling, tag team action and an over the top rope, last man standing finale.

Ayass, known variously as “The Twisted Genius” and the manager from hell, has demanded the promoters book him for the Meridian show … because he hails from Saltdean and says he hates everything to do with Peacehaven!

Ayass, who has previously led WWE grappler Martin Stone and Danny Garnell to championship glory, is teaming up with No. 1 women’s wrestler Amazon especially for the occasion and has thrown down a challenge to all-comers to take on the giant Jamaican star.

“I don’t care who the promoters produce. Amazon will tear them apart. She is already a champion in Europe and has taken on the best in America. With me in her corner, it will be murder!”

Ayass’s boast may just come back to haunt him … because top UK matchmakers Premier Promotions have lined up Amazon’s opponent as Zoe Lucas, who has toured Japan and wrestled WWE superstar Mickie James.

Among the other stars booked to appear on the show are “Dazzling” Darrell Allen, “The Prince of Mumbai” Rishi Ghosh, Andy Boy Simmonz and local favourites Barry Cooper and Carl Brady.

The show, in aid of the Mayor of Peacehaven’s four local charities, is being sponsored by Aquarius Solutions and Future Guarding Solutions; tickets are available from the Information Office at the Meridian Centre, priced £10 for adults and £9 for concessions. A family ticket for two adults and two children costs £36. Telephone enquiries 01273 585493.
