Dedication of a new Memorial Plaque

A short service will take place on Monday 30th November at 11.00am at the War Memorial, Meridian Park to unveil a new memorial stone, in remembrance of those from Peacehaven and Telscombe who died on active service since the Great Wars.

Private Daniel Prior's name is the first to be carved on the new tablet, given by the Co-op Funeralcare (Peacehaven branch). For some years the council have wanted Daniel's name to take a more prominent place but were unable to fund the project. Our thanks to Rachel Ford, the funeral director at Peacehaven for requesting the grant from her company to give the plaque to the town.
